Awards and Recognition
John Askew, EPA Regional Administrator presents an award to the City for “The Sustainable Redevelopment of Communities” at the national Brownfields Conference in 2008. 
The City of Springfield received the 2002 Region 7 Phoenix Award for the initial phase of Jordan Valley Park. The award highlights the most significant brownfields project in the four-state region. 
City Manager Tom Finnie received the Phoenix Award at the 2002 National Brownfields Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina where he formerly worked as Assistant City Manager. 2008
